A Nigerian lady known Zara Gambo has condemned the utterance made by Wizkid after he described Nigeria’s president, Buhari Muhammadu, as an ‘old man’.

Zara, who is a Muslim said that Wizkid has disrespected the president and for that matter, she is no longer a fan of him.

Wizkid calling Buhari “old man” is uncalled for tbh as he could call him to act against SARS illegitimate operations without disrspctng him.

If disrspctng elderly people or VIPs is what would made him modern Fela then I’m no longer wizkid stan. I support no disrespect #EndSarsNow” she tweeted.

Lautaro Martinez: Barcelona hold off on race to sign Argentine this window

 Barcelona have decided not to pursue their interest in signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

The Argentinian striker has been strongly linked with a move to the Nou Camp all year and is valued at around £90million by the San Siro club. 

However, given the financial uncertainty at Barcelona, the Catalans have been unable to meet Inter’s asking price and have subsequently withdrawn from the transfer race. 

The La Liga giants will, however, continue to look to fill the void left by Luis Suarez - who completed a controversial £5.5m move to Diego Simeone's side after being told by Ronald Koeman he was no longer required.

Martinez would have been an ideal replacement for Suarez as he scored 14 goals in Serie A last season and found the net once again on Saturday to help his side triumph 4-3 over Fiorentina.

Martinez did originally have a £100m release clause in his contract but that option expired in July.

Inter are now asking for a minimum of £73m for their striker and will refuse to accept additional players as part of the deal, according to Calciomercato.

Despite initially vying for the 23-year-old's signature, Barcelona knew that if they met Inter's asking price, they wouldn't be able to strengthen in other areas prior to the transfer deadline of October 5. 

Ideally, Koeman would like to add depth at centre-back and right-back before the summer window closes. 

As a move to Spain is now off the table, Martinez looks set to stay at the San Siro for another season. 

Martinez's contract is due to expire in 2023, but it seems likely that the striker will agree new terms with the club.

Barca have been linked with Lyon forward Memphis Depay, who Koeman managed at international level with Holland, as an alternative option for their forward line.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reveals he rejected Barcelona to stay at Arsenal

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he rejected Barcelona, among other clubs, to sign a new contract at the Emirates. The Gunners managed to tie the Gabonese striker down to a new three-year contract after major speculation surrounding his future at the club. 

The 31-year-old credited Mikel Arteta for convincing him about the new project at Arsenal. He also spoke about the special relationship he has with the fans of the London club. 

"There were several offers, notably from Barça, but also other clubs. My priority was to stay for two reasons: the first is the coach, Mikel Arteta, because we spoke a fair amount during the 'lockdown' as they say here, we were at home and spoke several times and he convinced me, notably in terms of the project.

"And of course, secondly, is the love that I receive from the fans and people at the club. Since I have been here I have been treated like one of their own, and as I am one of their own, I am going to stay here, it is as simple as that."

Arsenal have started the new season brightly, having lifted the FA Cup at the end of last season. The north London club also managed to get the better of Liverpool in the Community Shield, the same side they will face twice this week.

The Gunners have also spent smartly this window, making shrewd acquisitions of Willian and central defender Gabriel. Mikel Arteta is now reportedly in the market for a midfielder, with Houssem Aouar and Thomas Partey mentioned as alternatives. 

Arsenal will be tested this week by defending champions Liverpool, who have found their groove in the new campaign. However, the reigning Premier League champions have lost their last two fixtures against Arteta's new-look Arsenal. 

Aubameyang remains confident of his side's chances ahead of the fixtures. He said:

"It would be great to compete with Liverpool. It's going to be a big test on Monday. We're ready, we're going without fear. Obviously, we want to annoy them. It's a dream and a goal for us."
